Natural indigo-dye has a long history in China, dating back to the Qin and Han Dynasties (BC 221-220), and indigo-dyed cloth has been used as a primary material for clothing for at least 1000 years.

China Jeans is inspired by the encounter between traditional Chinese indigo culture and jeans as a symbol of modern (Western) culture.
